Winter Weather:

An artic cold front arriving Saturday will bring a chance of freezing drizzle, very light snow and icy bridges for parts of North Texas, according to the National Weather Service.

The freeze line is expected to reach the Dallas-Fort Worth area by daybreak on Saturday. The freezing drizzle may result in light ice accumulations and possibly hazardous travel conditions Saturday night into Sunday for our area.

Wind chills will be in the teens for most New Year's Eve festivities and the temperature is expected to fall into the single digits by sunrise on New Year's day. Temperatures will be very cold with lows in the teens and highs likely staying below freezing on Monday and possibly Tuesday. Unseasonably cold temperatures will continue through next week.
