Liz Carroll, a senior on Martin High School's volleyball team, has been selected as the City of Arlington's Student-Athlete of the Month for September 2018.

Carroll was named District 4-6A Setter of the Year as a sophomore, and followed that up with 1st Team All-District and Academic First Team All-District honors her junior year, while helping lead her team to the Regional Finals.

"Liz is a very determined athlete. I've seen her grow tremendously over the last four years," said Tracy Perez, Head Volleyball Coach at Martin High School. "She's fun to watch, she does a really good job commanding the court, and she's a leader."

Carroll's favorite subject in school is biology, and she has already signed on to play volleyball at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
