Dallas Cowboys vs. Indianapolis Colts at AT&T Stadium

The Dallas Cowboys return to action at AT&T Stadium in Arlington"s Entertainment District for the NFL preseason against the Indianapolis Colts. Kickoff for the game is at 6 p.m. CT. The Cowboys will then take on the Oakland Raiders in the final home preseason game at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 26. The team kicks off the 2017 season at AT&T Stadium against the New York Giants at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 10.

Einstein: A Stage Portrait at Theatre Arlington

This one-man play by Willard Simms presents the private, personal, and deeply human side of Albert Einstein, the reluctant celebrity who changed forever the way we look at the universe. Starring Dennis Maher, the show runs through this Sunday, August 20 at Theatre Arlington in Downtown. Tickets are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors and students (with valid ID) and $18.50 for groups of 10 or more people. Thursday performances are at 7:30 p.m., Friday & Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

From thrilling slides to relaxing pools, Arlington residents and visitors will be happy to hear that Hurricane Harbor is now open all week. The water park in Arlington"s Entertainment District will be open Thursday through Sunday, August 17-20, 2017. Hurricane Harbor will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor features 47 acres of water wonderland to enjoy. Spend the day zooming down the adventure slides, or just kick back in the sun and relax with your friends. Six Flags Over Texas

Spend the weekend at Six Flags Over Texas with all your friends and family celebrating all things summer. Enjoy some delicious summer-time favorites hot off the grill along with American-sized thrills on our roller coasters such as BATMAN The Ride, SUPERMAN: Tower of Power and MR. FREEZE: Reverse Blast. The Joker free-fly coaster is also open at Six Flags. After being lifted straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill, riders flip head-over-heels up to six times along the weightless journey. Shows at UTA Planetarium

UTA Planetarium continues to offer shows to residents and visitors this summer. The Planetarium"s lineup is featured in an episode of “Culture Buzz” on MyArlingtonTV. This includes Phantom of the Universe, a planetarium show that unveils scientists" efforts to explore Dark Matter. The show focuses on the Large Hadron Collider, the gigantic underground particle detector being used to explore the inner workings of the matter. Dark Matter is invisible and we only know of its existence due to its gravitational effect. It is believed that 85 percent of the matter in the universe is Dark Matter.
