Dream Builders: Arlington Native’s Acting Dream Off to Strong Start

Dream Builders'is a show on MyArlingtonTV that highlights the ways our community is helping kids dream big, nurture their creativity, polish their skills and develop the tools they need to achieve their American Dream as young adults.

The latest episode features Katie Kelly, an Arlington native looking to make it big as an actress. Katie attended Butler Elementary and is now a student at Grace Prep Academy in South Arlington.

Katie started modeling when she was in the third grade and it wasn 't until after her first cold read at an audition that she found her acting bug.

In 2014, she was cast in an independent film called The Gift Horse that was released in 2015. Earlier this year, she was featured on the NBC drama, Game of Silence. Katie also appeared on The Royal Guide to Princessing'for DreamWorks TV, a popular YouTube segment that has received thousands of views.

While Game of Silence has since been canceled on NBC, Katie continues to pursue her dream and is actively auditioning for acting roles.
