MyArlingtonTV is taking a trip across The American Dream City to showcase some of the diverse musical acts happening in Arlington's schools, restaurants, churches and neighborhoods.

Hosted by Tika Cook, "Backstage Arlington" highlights some of the different music acts and performing venues that exist in Arlington. The newest episode features the choir at Grace United Methodist Church of Arlington, located at 2020 S. Collins St.

The choir at Grace UMC Arlington is directed by Julian Hobdy. Hobdy, who joined the church in 2013, has been participating in music and ministry for more than 15 years. He also serves as the choir's pianist.

About 20 people volunteer their gifts each week as members of the choir and many have joined after being inspired during service.

"Our biggest motto is experience grace," said Fred Bates, pastor at Grace UMC Arlington. "We believe that this entire service, this church, everything we do is an experience in God's grace."

The City's Office of Communication develops programming for MyArlingtonTV. Viewers can find MyArlingtonTV programs on the following cable systems: Time Warner Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and streaming capabilities at www.arlington-tx.gov.

All episodes are also available on the City's YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter account.
