Thanks to community donations, Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex anticipates being able to provide gifts to more than 30,000 children this year through its Christmas Store.

City of Arlington employees are among those working to create happy holiday memories for families in need. On Friday, the Arlington Fire Department's Random Acts of Kindness Program delivered 31 new bicycles to help stock Mission Arlington's annual Christmas Store.

The Christmas Store is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day through Saturday, Dec. 22 (except Sundays).

The City of Arlington, which launched a Kindness Initiative last year, applauds Mission Arlington and the Fire Department's Random Acts of Kindness Program for working to make The American Dream City a kinder place to live, work, play and learn.

People are encouraged to report acts of kindness that they perform, witness or were the recipient of through the City's Ask Arlington mobile app, on the Acts of Kindness website, or by posting on social media using #ArlingtonKindness and @CityofArlington.
