The Arlington Day Dreamer Red Hat Chapter 63448 held a Craft Lunch at Eunice Activity Center on Wednesday, July 18.
The Red Hat Society is a playgroup for women created to connect like-minded women, make new friends and enrich lives through the power of fun and friendship! The Arlington Chapter gets together at 11 a.m. on the third Wednesday of every month to enjoy outings and fun social events.
"We are all about food, friendship and fun! But the most important things are wearing a red hat and purple on your shoulders." Queen Mum, Sandra James, said.
When the ladies from the Day Dreamer Chapter were asked why they participate and what some of their favorite things about the group were, they echoed the Queen Mum responding with: friendship, laughter, camaraderie, activities/trips, freedom to get out of the house, being silly and sassy, bling and glitter and tradition.
If you are interested in joining, please contact the Eunice Activity Center at 817-277-8091. You will need to attend at least one meeting to see if you fit with the ladies. If you decide you want to join, you will submit $30 and an application to the national Red Hat Society for your dues. Dues are paid annually. Must be 50+ to be a red hatter, 35-50 year old can be a pink hatter.
