Ask the Experts with Rangers Executive VP, Communications John Blake

The City of Arlington's Office of Communication recently talked to John Blake, Texas Rangers Executive Vice President, Communications, for the latest episode of Ask the Experts on MyArlingtonTV, a quarterly program about the progress being made at the future Globe Life Field in The American Dream City.

Blake, who was appointed Executive Vice President, Communications in November 2008, oversees all of the club's communications efforts, including the areas of media and player relations, broadcasting, publications, and updates related to Globe Life Field. His communications staff with the Rangers collaborates with the City of Arlington's Office of Communication to provide content for each Home Plate Update publication.

He was the recipient of the 1993 Robert O. Fishel Award from Major League Baseball for public relations excellence and the 2004 Harold McKinney Good Guy Award from the Dallas-Fort Worth BBWAA chapter. Blake was elected to the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995.
