For John and Mary Hibbs, Arlington: The American Dream City continues to be a dream place to live, learn, work and play.

Mary Hibbs continues to work closely with Arlington's youth at Camp Thurman and helped start the Jiggle Butt Run, a 5K run and walk that benefits SafeHaven of Tarrant County, which provides care and shelter to victims of domestic abuse. She is also the past president of Junior League of Arlington.

John Hibbs has been a leader in the community for decades, serving as a Board Member on the Arlington ISD Board of Trustees since 2010. He has also worked in the children's ministry at Lake Arlington Baptist Church, served as a board member of Arlington Children's Toy Charities, and has coached in youth athletic programs for 20-plus years.

“When we look back, we see Arlington as being a family for us,” John Hibbs said. “It's one that has taken care of our children and one that has given us an opportunity to take care of others.”

Registration is still open for the 13th annual Jiggle Butt Run 5K run and walk, set for Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the University of Texas at Arlington.
