Our grant will help underwrite Richard Simpson Park Improvements, including the new lake rental building and office, adjoining park restroom building upgrades, an event garden, new pavilion, fishing pier, playground, walking trail, picnic stations and parking lot.

River Legacy Foundation, Living Science Center, Nuts About Nature Capital Campaign
The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation's gift represents the lead grant for the organization's capital campaign. The River Legacy Foundation's project will touch every aspect of the building, providing a newly designed, engaging and inspiring environmental science center for the people of Arlington and surrounding communities. The plan includes new exhibits designed to educate and entertain visitors of all ages.
Specifically, the campaign will bring these new interactive exhibits to Arlington's beloved nature center:
The Watery World: a magical environment where children can explore the Trinity River as if they were under the water's surface.
Where Land and Water Meet: inspired by the City's River Legacy Park - located just steps from the Living Science Center — the exhibit moves visitors from the aquatic to the terrestrial world where they will gain knowledge of the diverse local wildlife adaptations and learn how land use practices affect the animals' river and forest homes.
And,
Life in the Forest: an interactive experience where video projections by the renowned 900lbs of Creative group bring to life the changing seasons, metamorphosis, and wildlife at River Legacy.
This campaign represents one of the most significant renovations to the Center in generations and is expected to be completed in 2018.

Community Enrichment Grants
Arlington Master Chorale
The Foundation's grants supported the Arlington Master Chorale Spring Concert scheduled on April 1, 2016. The group presented "I Believe in Paradisum' a special performance of Maurice Durufle's Requiem as well as the Requiem b American composer Mack Wilberg.

Arlington Urban Ministries
Our grant will target the organization's Thriving Families Program designed to assist a client with a portion of one month's rent or utilities, as well as provide 1‑2 days of food. Clients with a financial crisis may apply to the Thriving Families Program once every 12 months. Household income for an Arlington Urban Ministries (AUM) client is at or below 30% of the Median Family Income for Arlington.

North Texas Giving Day - Arlington grants
In partnership with the Communities Foundation of Texas, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation awarded $30,000 in grants to Arlington-based charities participating in the 18-hour on-line giving event. Grants were awarded during the Arlington Gives! Concert and throughout the day to the eligible Arlington-based charities registered for the 2016 North Texas Giving Day event through the Communities Foundation of Texas.

Community Partners of Tarrant County
Our grant helps addresses the high number of infants and children in the Arlington area, who do not have a safe place to sleep or a safe way to be transported among financially disadvantaged families. These circumstances likely lead families to higher high-risk infant sleeping practices which are leading causes of SIDS related deaths. To help minimize the risk to these infants, pack‑n‑plays/portable cribs are offered as a safe alternative. The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation grant provides Partners' Rainbow Room with pack‑n‑plays/portable cribs and car seats which are offered free of charge to clients involved with Child Protective Services.

Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County
The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation grant is directed to help offset food costs associated with Arlington's Meals on Wheels programming. Through the home-delivered meals program, fresh, nutritionally balanced meals are provided to homebound elderly and disabled residents of Arlington.

Water From the Rock
A local food pantry, Water From The Rock utilized the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation grant to increase its capacity to keep up with this surging demand for food in our community. Specifically, our contribution made it possible for the organization to enlarge the client waiting area so that waiting outside in inclement weather is no longer necessary and allow at least 20 people to be sheltered while waiting to receive food. Additional improvements to the food storage and packing area were also made possible through the gift.

COA Grants
City of Arlington Judiciary
The Foundation's grant underwrote expenses associated with Workman Junior High School's specialized mentoring program. A collaborative effort with the Arlington ISD, Arlington Judiciary Diversion program, and Arlington Police Department, the mentoring program is offered for twelve months with specialized weekly sessions for eight weeks. The program targets 10 seventh grade male students at risk for dropping out of school per semester. The mentorship involves eight face‑to‑face weekly sessions in which an Arlington Police Officer and a Workman Junior high school teacher mentor a student.
