Arlington’s diverse residents enjoy an exceptional array of educational opportunities. The Arlington Independent School District currently has a total of 75 schools: 10 high schools, 13 junior high schools and 52 elementary schools. With over 62,000 students enrolled, the Arlington Independent School District is the 9th largest school District in Texas. 86% of the student body is involved in an advanced education track designed to prepare students for future employment and higher education. Arlington is currently served by 4 separate independent school districts; Arlington, Kennedale, Fort Worth and Mansfield, which is one of the fastest growing school districts in the state of Texas. A fifth school district, H-E-B, which is acclaimed for its academic worthiness will be serving the brand new North Arlington Viridian community once it has established more permanent residents.
