Dog of the Week – Meet Baxter
This five-and-a-half-month-old male German Shepherd mix is brown and black in color and weighs 43 pounds. Baxter is a gentle and sweet-natured German Shepherd with a heart full of potential. Though he’s a bit shy and still adjusting to being around people, he shows just how much love he has to give when he feels safe. He recently warmed up to one of our local police detectives after some "pets" and a chew toy, revealing his soft side. He will probably do best with a patient family willing to help him build his confidence and show him that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Designated as a VIP pet due to his shyness, Baxter can be adopted at a reduced adoption fee. If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time to come out of his shell, Baxter might be the perfect match! Meet Baxter at Dog Adoptions (DA) 3, his ID number is A56686498.
Second Dog of the Week – Meet Dasher
This two-and-a-half-year-old male Australian Cattle Dog mix is white and black in color and weighs 46 pounds. We are really eager to get Dasher adopted so he is being featured as a Pet of the Week a second time. Did you take note of that striking black and white coat the first time? It goes great with his gentle and curious personality. Dasher is a bit shy at first, but with a little patience (and his favorite treats), he quickly warms up. He loves exploring the world on walks and is a pro on a leash. Dasher’s been with us a while, earning him VIP status, and he's more than ready to find his "furever" home. In the right environment, Dasher’s playful, goofy side is sure to shine. Could you be the right one to bring him out of his shell? Meet Dasher in Auxiliary (AUX) 8, his ID number is A56670795.
Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
