An image of the boundary map for the SH360 Corridor Strategy

The City is beginning a comprehensive study of the existing conditions and opportunities along the South SH 360 corridor, to create a vision and associated implementation strategies to ensure the future success of the corridor. Covering the area from Interstate 20 on the north to the City Limit to the south, the study will engage significant community involvement to guide future development, strengthen neighborhoods, build community capacity, improve transportation and safety, enhance economic development, and position the South SH360 area as a strong southeastern gateway to the broader Arlington community. The study is expected to be adopted in April 2022.

The project team is currently reviewing relevant data to build an existing conditions report. This data will be made available to the public once complete Summer 2021.

A Citizen Community Advisory Committee has been convened to assist the project team in developing a vision and implementation strategy for the study area. Members are a diverse group of residents, business owners, students, and other community leaders with a vested interest in the success of the corridor and a unique perspective of the strengths and opportunities. The Advisory Committee will meet four times throughout the project process, and provide valuable feedback on the overall vision for the corridor.
