Webb Community Park

Webb Community Park

In 1895, a post office named Webb was established in an area known as Bowman Spring. From then on, it became known as Webb Community and it developed into a co-op farming community. Just a few years later, in 1906, the Webb Baptist Church was organized. By 1935, the Webb Community had 92 voters, two stores and a cotton gin. It also had the Loyd School, so named for one of the founding families, which had three teachers and 105 students. The 70-acre park in southeast Arlington, which sits on the land that was once the Webb Community, is a popular park for family and community gatherings as well as youth sports leagues and practices. It features athletic fields and a multipurpose trail good for walking, running, biking and skating. The park’s pavilion can be rented through the Arlington Parks Department via email or by calling 817-459-5473.
