Shakespeare LIVE Brings Classic Theatre to Levitt Pavilion Arlington

Shakespeare LIVE brings the timeless works of William Shakespeare to Arlington. The performance will run from April 3 to April 5 at Levitt Pavilion Arlington, located at 100 W. Abram Street. Shows are schedule for Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with two performances on Friday, one at 11 a.m. and another one at 7:30 p.m. All performances will be free and open to the public.

Treasure Island

The UTA Department of Theatre Arts and Dance presents Treasure Island, by Robert Louis Stevenson, adapted by Bryony Lavery. The shows run April 2-5, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Mainstage Theatre, Fine Arts Building, 174 located at 700 Greek Row Drive in Arlington. Bryony Lavery’s adaptation of “Treasure Island” reimagines Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale with a fresh perspective and modern gender twist. The story follows the beloved young protagonist, Jim Hawkins, as she embarks on a thrilling adventure to find buried treasure, encountering pirates and facing many dangers along the way. This recent thrilling adaptation, first performed at the National Theatre in London, brilliantly captures the imagination, excitement and wit of the novel while also endearing itself to a new generation of audiences. The production will be guest directed by Jay Duffer, the Artistic Director of Amphibian Stage in Fort Worth.

Wicked Threads: The Artistry of Costume in Oz AND Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition at the Arlington Museum of Art

Following the release of the highly anticipated film, the Arlington Museum of Art will debut a collection of costumes from Wicked (2024) celebrating the artistry of the costume design and twenty-one years of the beloved Broadway musical Wicked. The Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition will feature a collection of larger-than-life images taken by Diana’s trusted friend and Official Royal Photographer, the late Anwar Hussein, as well as his sons Samir and Zak. Each image will be accompanied by first-hand accounts of the stories behind the world-famous moments, told through an in-depth audio guide.

Little Explorers – Downtown Library

Stop by The Children’s Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills.  Join the Arlington Public Library for a playfully discover the world around us! Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. South Street Art Festival

Come experience Arlington's longest running and only fine art festival! The 11th Annual South Street Art Festival returns to Downtown Arlington, Texas, April 4-6, 2025. See and buy from national, regional and local artists selling one of a kind original art. Enjoy live entertainment from local and regional bands. Taste the creations from local food vendors serving up festival food favorites. South Street Art Festival takes place on the 300-600 block of E. South Street. It is a free to attend. Arlington Master Chorale’s Master Work Series

Texas Rangers host Tampa Bay Rays

Tents & Tales Campout

Join for a night under the stars as you camp out at River Legacy Park starting 4 p.m. Friday, April 4 through 8 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025. Make sure to pack your tents and sleeping bags as you set out for wilderness right here in the city. The night will include dinner, a movie under the stars, sleeping bag story time, and a good old fashion camping sing along.

KUTUB: Arabic Book Club

The Arabic Book Club “Kutub” meets on the first Saturday of the month from 1-3 p.m., at the at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Resilience Room. Members will discuss novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction, music, feature films or documentaries that explore Arabic culture. Read and discuss what you’ve read. Exploring new cultures, values, and practices is what makes us better human beings as any culture has things to teach us, regardless of differences. Open for adults and seniors. Stomp Wars 2025 National Step Championship
