As part of the ongoing Comprehensive Plan update process, the City invites the public to share their vision and priorities for Arlington’s future development and growth through a communitywide survey.
The Comprehensive Plan, titled “Innovate Arlington,” serves as Arlington's roadmap for the next decade and beyond, guiding decisions about neighborhoods, transportation, economic development, and environmental sustainability. Community input is essential to ensure this plan authentically reflects the values and aspirations of Arlington residents.
“The Comprehensive Plan belongs to everyone who calls Arlington home – whether you are a homeowner or renter, a student, or a business or property owner. This survey allows us to hear from community members across all walks and stages of life, helping to create a shared vision that will shape Arlington's future for generations to come,” said John Chapman, the City’s long range planning manager and Innovate Arlington project manager.
Take the Comprehensive Plan Communitywide Survey
The online survey will remain open through early April and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey covers a range of topics including housing, transportation, parks and recreation, economic development, and community services. Residents can provide feedback on current conditions and share their priorities for future improvements.
Paper copies of the survey are also available at all Arlington Public Library branches and City Hall for those who prefer a non-digital option.
This survey complements the Innovate Arlington Comprehensive Plan workshops which will take place throughout March and April, which are gathering valuable input from hundreds of residents across all council districts.
We’ve made it easy to participate by hosting workshops with identical content across all council districts. These workshops are come-and-go from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each evening, so join us at the location and date most convenient for you:
