The Arlington Police Department is investigating a crash that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old motorcyclist.

On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at approximately 2:18 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of S. Cooper Street and Wimbledon Drive to investigate a collision involving a motorcycle and a car. When they arrived on scene, they found the motorcyclist lying unresponsive in the roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators determined the motorcyclist was traveling northbound along Cooper Street and collided with a 2015 Honda Accord that was attempting to turn from the southbound lanes of Cooper Street onto eastbound lanes of Wimbledon Drive. The impact of the crash caused the young man to be thrown from his bike and the Accord to spin around.

The driver of the Accord immediately stopped, remained on scene, and was cooperative with the investigation. He was not injured and is not currently facing any criminal charges in connection to this incident.

The crash remains under investigation. Speed has not been ruled out as a factor.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased.
