Every May, Positive Actions International leads the City of Arlington’s Mental Health Awareness Month campaign through the Together for Mental Health Panel Discussion, a free event dedicated to bringing together community leaders, business professionals, government officials, faith leaders, and mental health experts. This year’s event will take place on May 6, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pantego Christian Academy located at 2201 West Park Row Drive Pantego, TX 76013. English panel from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and Spanish panel from 7:00pm to 8:00 pm.
This annual gathering serves as a vital platform for open conversations about mental health, offering community members the opportunity to learn, connect, and discover valuable resources. "Every one of us faces challenges in life that can impact our mental health. But the good news is that there are practical tools that everyone can use to improve and protect their mental health, says Esther De La Rosa Scott, Director of Positive Actions International.
This year’s theme, Hope in Action: Community-Driven Solutions,” aligns with a major milestone for Arlington—the opening of the National Medal of Honor Museum. Just as the museum honors those who have shown extraordinary courage and resilience, Together for Mental Health emphasizes the power of mental strength, perseverance, and support in overcoming life’s challenges.
This event is coordinated in collaboration with the Dalworthington Gardens Mayor's Office, Mansfield Mayor's Office, and the City of Arlington Mayor’s Wellness Coalition. Key partners include Millwood Behavioral Health Services, Medical City Arlington, Positive Actions International, Promises Behavioral Health, and the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce’s Latino Business Alliance.
Mark your calendar for May 6, 2025 and come be inspired by the stories of resilience of our city leaders.
