What is rideshare?
Rideshare is a transportation option that uses a smartphone application and a fleet of rideshare vehicles to provide a service that has no fixed schedules, no fixed routes and an infinite number of on-demand stops. Passengers share their ride and save money.
How does it work?
Passengers can book a trip on a rideshare vehicle using the free Arlington Transportation app. Customers enter their pick-up and drop-off locations and a vehicle will pick them up within a block or two of their doorstep or a nearby location. Those who don’t have a smartphone to download the app can book a ride by phone at 817-784-7382.
What are the hours of operation?
The service is offered between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday. Arlington On-Demand will provide riders advance notice on any holiday-related schedule changes.
What are the service areas?
The Arlington On-Demand service area covers the entire City of Arlington, the CentrePort TRE Station, and the Eastchase Parkway area in Fort Worth which includes bus stops for Trinity Metro bus routes 21 and 22.

What is the normal wait time to be picked up by a Arlington On-Demand driver?
Customers are able to view estimated wait times when they enter their pick up and drop off locations in the Arlington Transportation app. Wait times will vary depending on nearby driver availability but generally average 12 to 15 minutes. When a ride is booked, riders will receive an updated time of arrival. Once their van has arrived, riders must arrive at the pick up location and board the van within two minutes.
How is Arlington On-Demand rideshare different than traditional ride-hailing transportation services?
As part of our public-private partnership, Arlington On-Demand is able to offer customers an affordable fee per trip, unlike traditional ride-hailing services, which charge for mileage and other factors. Customers using Arlington On-Demand will not face surge pricing based on their location in the service area. Vans used for the rideshare program are clearly marked with both the City of Arlington and Arlington On-Demand logos for easy identification. Customers can also take comfort in knowing that their Arlington On-Demand driver has undergone a robust background check to be eligible to participate in the City’s public transportation program.
What is the Arlington Express pilot service?
