BYRNE JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANTS
 |
Plan |
The City of Arlington received $1,050,197 in Byrne
Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) funding through the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The City
receives funding under the Byrne JAG program but the

emphasizing job creation over other purposes in addition
to focusing on reducing violent crime, enhancing
forensic investigation, and victims services. This
funding will be spent on the following positions over
the next 28 months:
- Police Services Assistant (scheduled to be
eliminated)
- 2 Crime Analysts (new positions)
- System Support Specialist (new position)
- 2 Senior Clerks (new positions)
- Grant Coordinator (new position)
- Teen Court Coordinator (scheduled to be
eliminated)
