Neighborhood Action Plans
A Neighborhood Plan, which is the official City policy
regarding the future of a neighborhood, contains recommendations
that are developed by the residents of the neighborhood itself and then approved by
City Council. After adoption, the Neighborhood Plan
becomes part of the Comprehensive Plan.

Fish Creek
In August 2009, staff
began working with residents of the Fish Creek Neighborhood,
approximately 442 acres in size, located between SH360 and New York
Ave, just south of Southeast Green Oaks Blvd.

Oak
Hill
In
May 2007, staff began working with a group of citizens near UTA on
the development of a neighborhood plan for their area. The Oak Hill
neighborhood is a 132-acre area located in central Arlington, west
of the downtown area and immediately west of the UTA campus. The
area is generally bounded by Fielder Road, West Abram Street, Davis
Drive and Maverick Stadium. Staff provided professional and
technical assistance in the preparation of the plan to a steering
committee made up of 19 residents from the neighborhood.

Parkview
In September 2008, staff began working with residents of the
Parkview neighborhood, a 93-acre area located in east Arlington,
east of the downtown area and immediately west of the General Motors
Assembly Plant.

Town North
Town North was originally
identified as a location that could benefit from neighborhood
planning efforts through the Building Equitable Communities
initiative. The 306-acre area is located in Central Arlington, and
is generally bounded by Randol Mill Road to the north, Collins
Street to the east, Sanford Street to the south and Cooper Street to
the west.
