City Announces New Texas Clinic at Arlington
Medical Complex to Create About 200 New Jobs

This week, the Arlington City Council unanimously approved a resolution that paves the way for the construction of a new $12 million medical office complex in south Arlington.

Texas Clinic at Arlington will locate at 400 W. Arbrook Blvd. in south Arlington and create approximately 200 new jobs, including about 40-45 physicians, registered nurses and lab technicians. According to Economic Development Manager Robert Sturns, the project will be executed as part of the Chapter 380 Economic Development Program, which will provide annual performance-based grants over a five-year period. The Chapter 380 Program, approved by City Council as an economic incentive for development, helps to stimulate business and commercial activity and create more jobs within the city, Sturns said.

The developer is Arlington MOB Partners, L.P. Their plans include the construction of a 70,000 square-foot, three-story medical office building, which will include an adult care center, full service imaging center and laboratories.

The project is scheduled to break ground in December 2009 with an estimated completion date of summer 2011. To learn more about Champion Arlington economic development initiatives, visit www.arlingtontx.gov/business or call 817-459-6114.
