RENTAL ASSISTANCE :: SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM (SHP)
Description
The Supportive Housing Program (SHP) is a federally funded program
designed to serve homeless persons. The SHP program is regulated by
the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and
managed and operated in Arlington by the Arlington Housing Authority.
The purpose of the SHP program is to provide supportive housing in
connection with supportive services to homeless persons to enable them
to live as independently as possible.

Criteria for Eligibility
Generally homeless persons are referred to the Arlington Housing
Authority for participation in the SHP program by agency partners that
provide emergency shelter and other supportive services to homeless
persons.
