The City of Arlington is partnering with the Census Bureau to promote the 2010 Census in our community. As Census data is used to allocate billions in federal funds to state, local and tribal governments across the country, it is important that Arlington have a high Census count.

In 2000, Arlington’s mail response rate was 68 percent – 3 percentage points higher than the national rate of 65 percent.

2010 Goal – at least 75 percent! The only way we can meet this goal is to have Arlington residents be aware of and complete the survey in a timely manner. After all, it’s only 10 questions that can be completed in 10 minutes!!

Appointed by City Council in May 2009, the City of Arlington’s Complete Count Committee is made up of Arlington residents who are committed to making both residents and businesses aware of the importance of the upcoming Census.
