VOLUNTEER STORIES

MICHELE

MicheleMy name is Michele. I am a volunteer at the Arlington Animal Shelter. I love going to the help the animals at the shelter. I try my best to visit the dogs and cats as much as possible. My main goal is to try my best to get these dogs and cats adopted. Some were lost and they are scared because they are in a different place.

The animals need someone to adopt them and take them home. I love them. It give me joy to see an animal get adopted and until they do, I spend as much time as I can with them. I try to volunteer in any area where they need me but I really love volunteering in the kennels. I love cats so I usually volunteer in the cattery. The cats love to see me. They all want to talk to me. Animal Services is a great place to volunteer. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The shelter animals need volunteers to love on them. They need volunteers to spend time with them. The dogs love to go outside in the play area….they really appreciate it. It makes me happy because I know the time I spend with the animals make them happy until they get adopted. Volunteering is extremely rewarding to me and I am glad when I have made their day by coming to the shelter to volunteer.
