14) What do you enjoy most about volunteering?
The satisfaction of knowing I can make a difference in a dog's life.
I can spend time with a dog and get to know their personality and by
doing so, I can make their time at the shelter less stressful. I
talk to and counsel potential adopters, sharing my knowledge about
the individual dogs that I meet; I ask adopters questions to help
ensure the dog they select will fit into their lifestyle. Often, the
information I discover about the dog is important to the adopter. It
helps them made an informed decision on who to adopt. My "reward" is
knowing in my heart that I helped that dog find a new home.
