PET FIRST AID

Pet First Aid is the immediate and temporary care given to an injured animal until it can be taken to a professional veterinarian for more definite medical care and attention.

Topics Covered in this 4-hour course include:

Finding the pulse and recognizing abnormal pulse rates
How to detect if the animal is dehydrated
How to recognize an emergency
How to approach a sick or injured dog or cat
Capturing and restraint techniques
Rescue breathing (practiced on a dog or cat manikin)
CPR for dogs and cats
