The Local League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Contributes to the Animals at the Shelter
The 16 members of the local League of United Latin American
Citizens (LULAC) group visited the Arlington Animal Services Center
on Saturday, November 14, 2009, bringing donations of newspaper for
the shelter pets. The group toured the shelter and attended a 45
minute presentation given my Community Services Educator, Chris
Huff. The group of 16 asked questions and obtained shelter volunteer
information for future participation.
Our
goal is to encourage responsible pet ownership by offering licensing
programs, field enforcement services, and educational programs for

eradication of rabies from the community’s animal population are
critical to successful operation.
We
provide services to the citizens of Arlington for the following:
Stray animals

Wildlife/exotics
Nuisances:
- Barking
- Odor
Loose livestock
Animal cruelty
Public education programs:
- Schools
- Day cares
