DONATIONS

The Arlington Animal Services Center was designed and constructed in a community partnership with funding made possible through bonds approved by voters in 2003 and individual and private donations. This funding resulted in a beautiful new shelter with a wellness clinic and veterinarian on staff providing on-site medical care of homeless pets with spaying, neutering and micro-chipping. The facility features a community room and training classroom built with public education and outreach in mind. Other special features include climate-controlled kennels and cages, and an adoption mall with meet and greet rooms encouraging visitor interaction with the animals. Green design elements include drought-resistant landscaping, skylights, energy efficient glass including window and door canopies which add protection and efficiency. The location is a perfect destination for families to enjoy a fun-filled day with the synergy of the new shelter, the Library and "Tails 'N Trails" dog-park. The facility is a reality made possible by the collaboration and partnerships with community stakeholders all having a common passion - a love for animals and a desire to do good will.

Ways To Give

The shelter gladly accepts donations of pet food, detergent, bleach, cat litter, towels, blankets, sheets, newspapers, medical supplies, animal carriers and straw or hay. The shelter animals are on a special diet to help keep them as healthy as possible. You can help feed the animals by contacting Nature's Select Pet Food of Fort Worth to get food at special shelter rates delivered to the Arlington Animal Services Center.
